To compete for MISS TEEN Fête (15-17 years)
Miss Fête Queens pageant is open to single women whose age will be 18-23 on February 1, 2026. You must reside in or go to school in Rapides Parish.
Miss Teen Fête is open to single women between 15-17 years of age at date of pageant. You must reside in or go to school in Rapides Parish.
Our inaugural pageant will be held Fall of 2025, exact Date to be announced soon, at Coughlin Saunders Preforming Arts Center in downtown Alexandria, LA
STEP ONE: READ the QUEENS CONTRACT, Rules and regulations.
STEP TWO: Submit your registration form online.
STEP THREE: Pay your registration fee. (You will be emailed a link to pay, once you complete your forms online.)
1. MISS FÊTE Miss QUEEN is expected to attend a minimum number of 15 approved appearances, included in the contract. These appearances consist of visiting of at least 10 pre-approved festivals as visiting royalty, local media appearances, Washington Mardi Gras, local Fête TV, radio, in person promotions and both the Alex River Fête & Alex Winter Fêtes and compete for LAFF Queen of Queens.
2. MISS TEEN FÊTE QUEEN is expected to attend a minimum of 12, including attending at least 7 festivals as visiting royalty during reign, included in the contract for download.
3. While attending another fair & festival as a visiting queen, QUEEN must sit in the area designated by that respective Pageant Director.
3. Miss QUEEN shall attend the Convention for the Louisiana Association of Fairs Festivals and compete in Queen of Queens, attend Alex River Fête & Alex Winter Fête and participate in all activities pertaining thereto.
4. QUEENs shall be a hostess to all visiting queens during the pageant and both Alex River Fête & Alex Winter Fête during her reign.
5. QUEENs may be required to attend Washington DC Mardi Gras, Alexandria Mardi Gras parade and Alexandria Christmas Parade
6. QUEENs shall make themselves available for the entirety of attend both the Alex River Fête & Alex Winter Fête, held annually in May & December in Alexandria, LA.

MISS and TEEN will compete in:
Personal Interview= 60% of total score
On Stage Intro in Festival Wear=10% of total score
Evening Gown= 10% of total score
On Stage Question= 20% of total score
Panel Style Personal Interview. (Teen will have a 7 minutes and Queen a 10 minutes interview). Contestants must be knowledgeable about the festivals, city, and parish. Interview contestants should wear a skirt suit, pantsuit, or business dress that is flattering in color and in style to the individual contestant, properly fit, and of a conservative length. Contestants are not required to wear stockings or a particular color, style, or heel height of shoe. Interview shoes should be professional, compliment Contestant's overall look, and not distract from Contestant's message or image. Hair and makeup should be professional, well groomed, presentable, age appropriate, and flattering for the individual contestant. ONLY ONE PERSON ALLOWED WITH EACH CONTESTANT AT interview location. Only the contestants will be allowed to enter the interview room.
On stage Intro in Festival-wear: The evening pageant will begin MISS & TEEN contestants modeling Festival-wear. Attire for this competition should be what the contestant would wear when attending a festival to represent as queen. Color combination is your choice and festival colors are allowed and encouraged. Attire must be appropriate (no shorter than fingertip length, no midriffs, etc.) You will be judged on your overall presentation and appearance, grooming, but the outfit itself will not be judged. Each contestant will need to prepare an introduction no longer than 45 seconds. Introductions should include your name, contestant number and facts regarding Alexandria, LA or the Alex River Fête & Alex Winter Fête. The introduction should be what a Festival QUEEN would say when inviting people from around the state to visit our festival.
Evening Gown/Formal wear: MISS & TEEN will compete in an age appropriate floor-length evening dress of her choice. The bottom hem of the gown should touch the top of the toes and/or floor while modeling. Particular shoes are not required, but if shoes will be seen we recommend clear or nude heels. Whatever shoes are worn should not distract from the contestant's overall look. The contestant should be able to walk and model gracefully in the shoes. All contestants should be well-groomed and prepared for a formal event.
On-stage Question: After all contestants in their division competes in the festival wear competition, then evening gown, MISS and TEEN contestants will come back on stage, one at a time, in their evening gown to answer an on-stage question. MISS & TEEN will answer an onstage question, regarding her representation of the festival. This will take place in formal-wear outfit. The question will pertain to Louisiana, Alexandria, LA, Alex River Fête and/or Alex Winter Fête.
The introduction is judged on delivery and the contestants ability to present a memorized statement to an audience. The on-stage question is judged on delivery and the contestants ability to answer an unknown question on stage while maintaining their poise and composure. There will be one question asked of all the Teen and one question asked of all the Miss. All contestants will be sequestered until it is their time to answer.
TEEN Contestants 15-17 years old pay a registration fee of $75. MISS Contestants ages 18 years to 23 years old pay an registration fee of $100.
All payments are online. Only in exceptional circumstances will cash, money order, or cashier's check be accepted. At no time is a personal check accepted. We accept business checks if the business is sponsoring a contestant's entrance into the Pageant. Please notify us that a business check is coming before placing the check in the mail. If you register and pay and are unable to attend, we do not offer refunds.
INTERVIEW: will be the morning of the pageant. Exact times and location will be sent to registered contestants.
PAGEANT: There will be a mandatory on stage meeting from 2-2:30pm day of the pageant. Doors will open to the public at 2:30pm and Pageant begins at 3pm
Each contestant will be provided their contestant number at the interview location during interview check in on the morning of the pageant.
At the end of their reign, as described in the Queens Contract, Miss Fête will be awarded a $2,000 scholarship, and Miss Teen Fête will receive a $500 scholarship, recognizing their dedication and excellence.
Hair and makeup should be professional, well groomed, presentable, age appropriate, and flattering for the individual contestant.
Yes, full backstage dressing rooms and facilities will be available to contestants and ONE assistant/helper per contestant. No members of the opposite sex will be allowed in the dressing rooms backstage. If you have a backstage helper, they will be given a wrist band for backstage access. They will need to wear their wristband at all times and will be required to remain backstage for the duration of the pageant.
Anyone who pays the admission fee can attend the pageant. Event admission is $10.00 cash or card for each guest. ONLY the contestant can enter without paying the $10.00 door admission. Each contestant will be allowed ONE backstage helper. They will be given a wristband and MUST remain backstage until crowning is over.
Bad sportsmanship will not be tolerated by any contestant, representative, sponsor, parent, or guest. Bad sportsmanship will result in disqualification of the represented contestant and the individual will be asked to leave the premises without benefit of a refund. This includes disrespectful comments and hurtful words about contestants. Parents and spectators need to remain in their seats, and are prohibited from entering the judging area.
